Overview of Custom Plugins: A Preview
Preview: This feature is currently in preview mode and its functionality may change ahead of the GA release.
Custom plugins are user-defined plugins designed for your custom needs. You can create your own plugin and customize the security checks and policies according to your requirements. This allows your organizations to work on the business needs more closely.
While default plugins are pre-defined and generic for all the users, the custom plugins created by individual users are specific and they can be edited at a later stage according to the changes needed by the customer.

Create Custom Plugins
Custom plugins can be created by configuring plugin metadata and conditions. For more information on creating a new custom plugin, see Create Custom Plugin.
Import/Export Custom Plugins
To create a new plugin, you can import your custom plugin in JSON format instead of configuring plugin metadata and conditions in the UI. Once the custom plugin is created, it can be exported in JSON format. For more information on how to export a custom plugin, see Export Custom Plugin.
Enable/Disable Custom Plugins
The custom plugin can be enabled or disabled as per usage. For more information on enabling or disabling a custom plugin, see Enable/Disable Custom Plugin.
Custom plugins can only be disabled and not deleted.
Edit Custom Plugins
Once a custom plugin is created, it can be edited either by changing the metadata or the conditions. For more information on editing a custom plugin, see Edit Custom Plugin in Custom Plugin Features.
Custom Plugin Features
Each custom plugin has some features- to view more information, change severity level, edit plugin, test with a live run, view audit report, view on GitHub, and view public stats. For more information, see Custom Plugin Features.
Filter Custom Plugins
You can locate any custom plugin easily using the Filter Plugin option which filters default plugins and displays only the custom plugins list. For more information on using this option, see Filter Custom Plugins.
