Due to an ongoing outage with the AWS IAM service on 2020-09-16, a number of scan reports run during the outage timeframe (approximately 3:17 PM and 5:42 PM PDT) led to a higher number of "unknown" scan results and increased scan error rates. During times when the IAM service was not available, Aqua CSPM scans attempted to perform the scan up to three times before falling back to recording unknown results. As the IAM service recovers, results may move back from "unknown" to their previous "passing" or "failing" state.
